How it works

What happens after you contact us

Most landowners have never sold land for this purpose before and have no idea where to start. That is normal. The process below is the whole thing, start to finish, and almost all of the work sits on our side of the table. You do not need to prepare anything before you contact us.

  1. You tell us about the land

    Fill out the short form with your county, a rough acreage, and anything you happen to know about what is near the property. If you are not sure about something, say so. Not sure is a real answer and we would rather have it than a guess presented as fact.

  2. We check it against public records

    We pull transmission maps, substation locations, road data, floodplain maps, and terrain from public records and see how your property lines up. This is the part that takes real work, and it is ours to do. You will not be asked to hire a surveyor or gather documents.

  3. We call you if it looks workable

    If the property looks like it could support a project, we call you. It is a conversation, not a pitch. We walk you through what we saw, what we are still unsure about, and what a purchase or an option would actually look like for you.

  4. We make an offer, or we tell you why not

    When it fits, we put real terms in writing. When it does not, we tell you that directly and explain what was missing, whether that was distance from power, terrain, or something else. You get a real answer either way, and it costs you nothing.

There is no point in the process where you owe us money or sign something to keep talking. If you decide to stop, you stop. Most conversations end with us saying the property does not fit, and we would rather tell you that quickly than keep you waiting.
